Herco Cutting Tools was founded in 1968 by Harold E. Rivers and Gary D. Dyer to service the wood cutting industry from Newcomerstown, Ohio. Herco primarily focused on developing the V Grooving technology that is still used today. In 1993, Mr. Rivers retired and sole ownership transferred to the Dyer Family. At this same time, a new 20,000 square foot facility was constructed in Newcomerstown, and the Company moved to the new facility.

By maintaining an aggressive reinvestment program, Herco has been able to stay abreast of new technology enabling the company to provide consistent, high quality tooling by advancing to CNC equipment. The main market thrust of Herco Cutting Tools is the design and manufacture of custom tooling, including CNC profile routers and cutters, V groovers, MTP heads, hogger heads and saw blades.

3 D Diamond Tooling was founded by the Dyer family in 1994 to establish and focus its efforts on the design and fabrication of Diamond Tooling. This Division has invested heavily into new technology to stay abreast of new developments in the manufacturing of diamond tooling, investing over $3,500,000.00 in machinery form 1995 through 1999. Today, without a doubt, 3 D Diamond Tooling can offer the most exact tolerances and the sharpest edge available in the world. The commitment to cutting edge technology is further demonstrated by the Companys' future plans for continuing, aggressive investing in this type of technology.

The main market thrust has been the manufacture of custom tooling for the cabinet, counter, furniture, and wood working industries. We are a major supplier to the solid surface industry and have developed tooling for the plastics industries.
